OUR HISTORY

It was Summer 2014 and I was on the porch of our rented family cabin near the mountains of Yosemite. Being a "city-boy," I had grown up feeling as though the outdoors and wilderness were a nuisance or annoyance rather than the serene and beautiful escape it really was. All this changed that one summer day. Thankfully, that morning, I was pushed into breaking free from my laptop by friends. We hiked up a nearby trail where my eyes were opened to the raw purity and wonder of Nature. I don't know if it was the frigidness of the nearby lake or the scent of wildflowers growing nearby, but I felt inspired - inspired to harness this beauty into something we could use everyday.

The Brick Haus was born.

I started small.

Handmade soaps made with only natural, organic ingredients. In the beginning, I made the soap for myself. However, once my friends got hold of some samples I was quickly encouraged to offer my soaps to the public. Rather than reduce the quality of my ingredients or process for more profit, I chose to stay true to my original vision. Small batches of handmade soap with limited runs for quality control. This way you know each bar was made with love, compassion, and strict attention to detail.

My team and I are dedicated to bringing you the highest quality product we can, while maintaining a focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness. We only have one Earth, and we must do everything in our power to help it thrive.
